Tim sings about the things he knows and
loves. Raised on a farm in the Midwest,
where they raised pure breed Angus and
Angus Hereford cross cattle and did
custom hay bailing.
Tim began breaking and training horses
in the late 1970's.
Tim grew up in a house were from an
early age Gospel and Country/Western
music was an everyday part of life.
Tim's mother played the piano and the
family would gather around and sing.
There was always music of some kind
around the house.
Tim and his brothers and sisters would
sing at various functions growing up.
Tim's musicial interest were not just
limited to singing. He also studied piano (He can play a mean version of chopsticks) and guitar. Tim took up the trumpet in elementary school and later in high school also played the french horn and baritone. In the late 1970's Tim and some friends formed a Bluegrass/Country/Western music Band in which he would sing lead and harmony vocals and played bass guitar. After a few years away from performing, Tim's love of the music he grew up with led him to begin performing both traditional and contemporary Cowboy and Western Music and Poetry.
His Album ( On The Trail) recieved nominations for Best Western Music
Album from the Academy of Western Artist. Tim was also honored with nominations for Best Western Male Vocalist in 2000, 2001, 2002, and 2003. Tim was also nominated for Rising star in 2000, 2002, 2003
and Cowboy Poetry Male 2004.
Tim's music and poetry are heard on stations thru out North America and Europe. He has also been featured on the CMT Television Special "Christmas In Cowboy Country". Other programs include "Love of the West" Television series and KSBI TV's "Cowboy Tales From The Trails".
His a cappella version of " Cattle Call " is a much-requested piece.
His poem "Shorty" is featured in "The Big Roundup". A book of Cowboy Poetry published by The New West Library. ( Winner of The Buck Ramsey Award for Cowboy Poetry Book of the Year from the Academy Of Western Artist for 2002). He has been featured at the Ft. Worth Stock Show, the State Fair of Texas, Bosque County's Chisholm Trail Cowboy Gathering
( A Cowboy Tribute To President George W. and Laura Bush ), The Western Heritage Classic, Abilene, Texas. He has performed at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum's Invitational Cowboy Poetry Gathering in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and The National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame in Ft. Worth, TX, He is a regular performer at several state parks, as well as private and corporate events.
Tim is a member of the American Chuckwagon Association. He is also associated with several Western Preservation and Entertainment groups.
